General Obasanjo, as a leader, has played critical roles in the fundamental moments in the history of Nigeria.
His interventions in politics from time to time have made him the most wanted African leader, even years after leaving office.
General Obasanjo also made history as the military leader who took over the reins of power after the death of General Murtala Mohammed in 1976. He successfully completed the administration's transition program and delivered power to a civil regime in 1979.
At 88, Baba, as their fans call it with love, continues to grow in strength and influence.
In the name of the Kuta-In-Consejo Olowu, I extend my sincere congratulations to this great patriot. Happy 88 Birthday, President Obasanjo!
