Police Find Kidnappers’ Victims in Shallow Grave
Two men suspected of kidnapping took the Ogun State Police to a shallow grave. This is where they buried the people they kidnapped after getting the ransom money.
The names of the arrested men are Chukwuma Bartholomew and Igwe Monday.
Sharing more about this case, Police Public Relations Officer Omolola Odutola said that the Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alamutu, was in charge of this operation in Ijebu Igbo.
Officer Odutola explained that the police caught these two men after a careful investigation. The police anti-kidnapping squad found their hiding spot in Ijebu Igbo at 6:20 pm on June 28, 2024.
“Commissioner Abiodun Alamutu led the team to Ijebu Igbo in Ogun State. There, they found the bodies of the victims in a shallow grave. They also arrested Chukwuma Bartholomew and Igwe Monday,” she said.
She also said that the suspects will be taken to court once the investigation is done. The police are still looking for the other members of the kidnap gang.
