Ogun Police Arrest 29-Year-Old Suspected of Rape and Serial Killings

A man named Ogunnaike Phillips, who is 29 years old, has been caught by the police in Ogun State. The police think he did some very bad things, like kidnapping, hurting people, and killing them.

Phillips belongs to a group called Aye confraternity. The police believe he is involved in the terrible death of a young girl, Habeebah Akinsanya, who was only 17 years old. Sadly, she was hurt very badly and died in September.

DAILY POST shared that Habeebah was found on her father’s farm, not too far from a place called Ogun State Television in Abeokuta. Her passing was very sad and upsetting to everyone.

Abiodun Alamutu, who is the top police officer in Ogun State, said that Phillips, who is from a place called Ayepe Ijebu and lives in Abeokuta, admitted that he also hurt and killed three more young girls the same way. He then hid them in the woods.

One Friday, Phillips showed the police officer and his team where he buried them. These places are in Asero estate in Abeokuta, Itori in Ewekoro, and Mile 6 along Ajebo road in Obafemi Owode local government area.

These other poor victims are Abigail Dina, who was 22 years old, and Mary Ogunyemi, who was 23 years old.

According to the police officer, Phillips and his partner Danjuma, who is still free and hasn’t been found yet, used to trick people by taking them to lonely places. There, they would take their phones, ask their families for money, and then sadly kill them.

When Phillips talked to the news people, he said he wants the government to punish him badly because he knows what he did was very wrong. He also said that Danjuma and others got him into doing these bad things.

“I don’t want anything from the government. If they find us, they should just punish us with death because Danjuma and those others are why I did these foolish things,” Phillips said.

Alamutu, the police officer, is really unhappy because many young people are getting lost, and there’s more crime happening. He promised to keep looking into what happened so they can find the other people in the group.

The police promise to take Phillips to court so he can be judged for the terrible things he did. The families of the people who were hurt and killed are hoping for justice, as they miss their loved ones very much.
