The Secretary of the highest advisory body in Lagos State, the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), Alhaji Mutiu Are, has said that the post-impeachment process to be held within the Lagos House of Assembly will be resolved in a family manner .
This is stated while reacting to the claim of the accused Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa that his dismissal was unconstitutional.
Obasa, during a reception hosted by his supporters in Lagos on Saturday, defended his removal as president, arguing that it is politically motivated and does not conform to due process.

Speaking on the development, Are said: “Whatever is currently happening in Lagos politics is a family matter. As elders, I'm not supposed to take sides.
We would resolve everything because the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), being the main advisory body, has its own mechanism to resolve issues like this.
By virtue of my position as secretary of the organization, I do not have express permission to speak on the matter. But I can tell you that we will resolve it in a family way.”
