The Lagos State Police have taken a nurse into custody. This is because of the death of a 36-year-old woman named Mrs. Abiola.
The police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, told the news reporters about this on Wednesday in Lagos.
Hundeyin said the nurse was arrested after Maroko Police Division got a report on Tuesday morning around 11:40 a.m. The report came from the driver who worked for Mrs. Abiola.
The driver told the police that early Monday morning, around 3:00 a.m., his boss, Mrs. Abiola, who lived in Diamond Estate, Sangotedo-Lekki, asked him to take her to a clinic in Lekki Phase 1. She went there for a BBL injection, which people get to make their buttocks bigger.
According to Hundeyin, when they reached the clinic, the owner of the clinic told a nurse to give Mrs. Abiola the injection. But after the injection, Mrs. Abiola got very sick and had trouble breathing.
“They quickly took her to another hospital in Lekki Phase 1. But sadly, the doctor there said she had died,” Hundeyin explained.
After hearing this report, the police sent a team of detectives to check the clinic where the injection happened and the hospital where she died. They took pictures and moved her body to a public morgue for an autopsy (a medical examination to find out why someone died).
Hundeyin also mentioned that the nurse had been arrested and the investigation is still going on.
