Sunshine Stars’ coach, Kennedy Boboye, was very happy with his team’s win against Rangers.
Stephen Chukwude scored the only goal in the game, giving the Owena Waves a 1-0 victory against the defending champions of the Nigeria Premier Football League. This match took place at the Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu-Ode on Saturday.
Even though they won, Boboye mentioned that they still need to work on their goal-scoring skills.
“It was a good match and the most important thing is that we got three points,” Boboye shared in an interview after the game. “We just need to keep improving so that we can score more goals. Winning by four or five goals would have been even better.”
He added, “In every game we’ve played, we’ve missed several chances to score since the league season began.”
