Rangers’ technical adviser, Fidelis Ilechukwu, has shared that midfielder Kazeem Ogunleye will face punishment for getting a red card during the game against Ikorodu City.
Ogunleye was sent off for bad behavior in the Flying Antelopes’ 1-0 victory over Ikorodu City at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos, on Wednesday.
Ilechukwu expressed his disappointment with Ogunleye’s actions.
“I am very sad about this. Sometimes, when you are not disciplined, you face serious consequences,” a frustrated Ilechukwu told the media in Lagos.
“We won’t just leave Ogunleye out of the team; we will also punish him. Everyone knows that the referee’s decision is final, and this is what we keep telling our players.”
The Rangers are set to play against Remo Stars next in the Nigeria Premier Football League on Sunday.
