Akwa United’s coach, Mohammed Babaganaru, wants the players to understand each other and work well as a team. He will focus on this during the pre-season games in Yenagoa.
The games start today, Monday, and will finish on Sunday, August 18.
All the games will be at Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.
Babaganaru told the club’s media team, “We are not too worried about winning or losing. We want to see how our players work together in real games.”
“If we achieve this goal in the tournament, it will help us build a strong team for the new season.”
“The tournament is a great chance for my coaching team to see how well our players can perform before the new season begins.”
“We have brought in some new players, and we want to see if they are ready to play for our club by giving them a chance in this pre-season tournament.”
