Northwest: Humanitarian Group to feed 10,000 poor and vulnerable people

A humanitarian organization, al-Sadaqah Jariya Humanitarian organization, has launched a large-scale charity food donation program to provide IFTA meals to 10,000 poor and vulnerable people throughout the northwest.

The distribution of Iphtar food began on Saturday night at the Rahamaniyya school, Sabon Fege, Gusau and Imam Malik Almajiri School, Talata Mafara, in the state of Zamfara. Speaking at the event, the president of the Board of Trustees, Fatimah Y. Abdulqadir, represented by the lawyer Mohammad Sani, described the initiative as a large -scale charity effort to relieve hunger during Ramadan.

“In the spirit of Ramadan, the Humanitarian Organization Al-Sadaqah Jariyah has launched a large-scale charity food donation program to support families and people in need in the northwest of Nigeria,” he said.

Barrimer Sani explained that, given the high number of vulnerable families in the state of Zamfara, 4,000 people have been destined to benefit from the initiative.

“This initiative seeks to distribute essential grains to 1,000 families and provide IFTA meals to 10,000 people, ensuring that those less fortunate have access to nutritional meals during this holy month,” he said.

In addition, he pointed out that the program is aligned with the organization's commitment to humanitarian service and poverty relief, made possible through donations of well -intentional individuals and partners.

“Through generous contributions, Al-Sadaqah Jariyah is working to obtain its goal of raising ₦ 37,500,000 for food packages and ₦ 10,500,000 for IFTAR community meals,” he added.

Emphasizing the importance of the initiative, he described the Ramadan as a moment of generosity, reflection and kindness.

“This initiative is our way of ensuring that those who face difficulties can also share the blessings of this season,” he said.

The beneficiaries, including widows, orphans and displaced people, expressed a deep gratitude for support, recognizing their significant impact on vulnerable populations.
