This is just as his company, Bullion Go-Neat Global Limited, is organizing a New Year festival on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, to entertain Nigerians as we enter the New Year.
Ajadi, in a statement on Monday on the occasion of New Year 2025, said Nigerians have suffered amidst plenty due to various harsh policies of governments at various levels in the outgoing year 2024, saying all hands must be on available to ensure that the situation will improve in 2025.
According to him: “We must thank Almighty God for having kept us until this moment. The outgoing year has been very tough for the average Nigerian as the cost of basic foodstuffs skyrocketed, leaving many families sleeping on an empty stomach.
“The removal of subsidy on petroleum products by President Bola Tinubu and the failure of palliatives released by the Federal Government to reach the downtrodden have made life miserable for many Nigerians.
“It is sad that Nigerians are now seeking food from various donors, which has led to stampedes and avoidable deaths in many places in the country, especially in Ibadan where more than 35 children died, in Okija, Anambra State, and in the Federal Capital Territory. Abuja, where many lost their lives.
“The stampedes and subsequent deaths are a product of the abject poverty to which many Nigerians have been subjected.
“While we commiserate with those who lost their loved ones in the various stampedes, we call on governments to make food affordable for all Nigerians.
“I hereby appeal to the President and state governors to work towards improving the lives of Nigerians as we enter the new year.
“Policies must be made with human faces. Nigeria and Nigerians are blessed by Almighty Allah through various mineral resources, and should not continue to suffer amidst abundance.
“The President, as Minister of Petroleum, must drive down the prices of petroleum products as a way to help the masses breathe.”
