NNPP Affirms Kano Gov Yusuf’s Suspension

Must Read

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) says that Governor Abbah Yusuf of Kano State will stay suspended until December.

This was shared by the Party’s National Secretary, Mr. Oginni Olaposi Sunday, in Abuja.

Mr. Sunday mentioned that the party plans to have a big meeting with important members in Abuja later this month. They will talk about important topics affecting the party. Leaders and elders from all over the country are expected to be there.

They will discuss serious issues related to the NNPP, which has been around for 23 years. The meeting will also focus on reinforcing the removal of their Presidential Candidate from the 2023 election, Rabiu Kwankwaso, as well as Elder Buba Galadima and the National Working Committee led by Dr. Ahmed Ajuji.

Mr. Sunday said this meeting is essential for the NNPP’s future and for making democracy stronger ahead of the 2027 elections.

“The active participation of all members and elders is crucial for the success of this meeting.”

“Everyone, especially those in important positions, must attend this meeting.”

“Elected members should know that skipping this meeting could have serious consequences for the 2027 elections.”

“To be clear, Kwankwaso, Galadima, and the National Working Committee led by Dr. Ajuji are still expelled from the NNPP.”

“Also, Governor Abbah Yusuf of Kano State is still suspended until December,” he added.

He said that the NNPP’s rules are important for all members and that they follow the broader laws of Nigeria.

“We hope that INEC (Independent National Electoral Commission) will support the importance of internal democracy and help it grow and prosper in Nigeria,” he concluded.
