Nigerian Navy Shuts Down Illegal Refineries in Delta State

Must Read

The Nigerian Navy has been very busy lately! They found and stopped people trying to make fuel illegally in Delta State. The Navy calls this important work “Operation Delta Sanity.” Here’s what they found:

On a special Wednesday, October 23, 2024, brave Navy members on the ship NNS DELTA searched in a place called Obodo Omani Community. They found two secret places where people were making fuel their own way, which is not allowed. There were two big ovens to turn oil into fuel, two big tanks to keep the oil, and a lot of sacks filled with something called AGO. That’s a fancy name for a type of diesel fuel. They also found 13 big pits full of oil that someone had taken without asking.

But the Navy didn’t stop there! They also went to another place called Bennett Island. Here they found one more sneaky spot where fuel was being made. This place had two ovens, three tanks, and more sacks of AGO.

When the Navy finds places like these, it’s like finding hidden treasure. But instead of keeping it, they stop it because it’s not right. They are like heroes making sure everything is safe and fair in the community.
