Nigerian Navy arrests six suspects for transporting illegally refined AGO

The Nigerian Navy says its Operation Delta Sanity personnel have detained 6 suspects on 6 passenger ships carrying bags and drums of illegally refined AGO in Otuokpoti, Bayelsa State.

In a statement on his verified Facebook on Sunday, he said: “Operation DELTA SANITY: On Thursday, December 19, 2024, Nigerian Navy Vessel SOROH intercepted and detained 6 suspects on 6 passenger boats carrying sacks and drums of Illegally refined AGO in Otuokpoti, Bayelsa. State.

“Accordingly, the suspects were handed over to the staff of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps Headquarters, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

It is worth remembering that Nigerian Navy agents have made significant arrests over the years. Although some of the personnel died while fighting with the oil thieves.

This has not discouraged those willing to fight for the common goal of Nigeria.
