NIGERIAN singer, Adekunle Almoruf Kosoko, widely known as Adekunle Gold, recently expressed his frustration with life in Nigeria through a heartfelt post on his official X page.
The 'Rodo' hitmaker shared his candid thoughts and stated that living and striving for success in Nigeria often seems like an uphill battle. According to him, there is an inherent quality to the country that seems to drain everyone's potential and excellence, making it difficult to stand out.
“There is something about this place that drains your excellence,” he wrote. “Struggling to make it here seems futile, as the environment depresses you until you become like everyone else.”
Despite his frustrations, Adekunle Gold, who comes from a royal lineage in Lagos State, encouraged his fans to remain resilient. He urged them to fiercely protect their passion, stay determined and refuse to settle for mediocrity.
“Whatever you do, fiercely guard your passion, be steadfast and never settle for less,” he advised, offering hope and motivation to those facing similar challenges.
