The top police officer in Anambra State, Commissioner Nnaghe Obono Itam, is very sad because people in a place called Nibo are not helping him find out who hurt others. Sadly, 12 people got hurt in this place on Sunday.
On Monday, the police officer went to visit Nibo. He tried to find out more about what happened. But some people in the area are not sharing important information that can help them find who is responsible.
The policeman is also upset because families of the people who got hurt quickly took the bodies of their loved ones to bury them. This makes it harder for the police to find clues to catch the bad people who did this.
The police department, through its spokesperson SP Tochukwu Ikenga, gave a statement that was shared with DAILY POST. They said they will try really hard to find out who did these bad things in Nibo on October 20, 2024.
The police say it is not okay that some families are hiding information and making it harder for the police to do their job.
On October 21, 2024, the police boss Nnaghe Obono Itam and his team went back to Nibo to look around and promised to work even harder to find the people who did this.
The police also said that not 12, but five people died because of this incident. Also, three other people got hurt badly and are being taken care of in a hospital.
