Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta praised Riccardo Calafiori after his first game at home on Sunday.
Calafiori joined Arsenal this summer, costing £42 million, from Bologna.
The 22-year-old played in the second half as Arsenal won 2-0 against Lyon in the Emirates Cup on Sunday.
After the game, Arteta said, “Calafiori can play in different positions. He’s very useful, especially in attack. He can defend very well and knows how to handle tough situations.”
“When you look at him, he’s strong and fearless. He had a great season last year, and I believe he will make our team better.”
