Netanyahu discusses Syria strategy with Trump

Must Read

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a video message on Sunday night, revealed a conversation with US President-elect Donald Trump.

Netanyahu called it a “very friendly, very warm and very important conversation” and said they discussed “the need to complete Israel's victory” and the release of hostages in Gaza.

Addressing Syria, Netanyahu stated that he had instructed the Israel Defense Forces to “thwart potential threats from Syria and prevent terrorist elements from taking control near our border.”

He noted that IDF airstrikes have destroyed “capabilities that the Assad regime had built over decades” and disrupted “weapons supply routes from Syria to Hezbollah.”

While emphasizing that Israel “has no interest in confronting Syria,” Netanyahu vowed to continue attacking Hezbollah. “We will continue to act as much as necessary, in all areas and at any time,” he said.
