On Tuesday, Ali Ndume, a Senator from Borno South, refused to accept a new office given to him by the Senate Service Committee.
Ndume said the new office did not fit his status as a senior and important senator.
This decision was shared in a letter from his Chief Confidential Secretary, Yati Shuaibu Gawu.
The letter says: “I am asked to tell you that Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume has turned down the office number 3.10 given by the Committee.
“This is because offices are usually given based on how senior the senator is.
“Senator Ndume is the most senior senator after Senator Ahmad Lawan and should use an office on the fourth floor.”
This happened after Ndume was removed from his role as the Senate Chief Whip.
The Senate made this decision because Ndume spoke against President Bola Tinubu’s government, saying the leaders are only interested in stealing money from the country.
