NDLEA Confiscates 1,045kg of Illegal Drugs and Apprehends 420 Suspects in Kaduna

Must Read

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, or NDLEA, in Kaduna State did a big job. They caught a lot of illegal drugs in three months of 2024. They caught 1,045.93 kilograms of these drugs and arrested 420 people.

The boss of NDLEA in that place, Mr. Samaila Danmalam, told everyone about this on Thursday.

He said the people they caught were 404 men and 16 women. These people were selling drugs, using them, or trying to move them from one place to another.

The drugs they took away were many types. They had cocaine, cannabis (like weed), Rohypnol, Tramadol, meth, and other strong drugs.

But that’s not all. They also found lots of bullets—1,393 of them—and four homemade guns.

Mr. Danmalam also said that 30 people who did bad things with drugs were told by the court they were guilty. Another 54 people are in court now, and some cases are still being looked at.

The NDLEA is not just catching bad people. They are helping, too. They talked to 50 people who used drugs to help them. They also helped 50 drug users get better and live happy lives again with their family and friends.

Mr. Danmalam asked everyone to help out. He said if you know something important about drugs, tell them quickly, so they can fight against the bad drug problem better.
