NDLEA Captures Illicit Drugs and Arrests 420 Suspects in Kaduna

Must Read

The NDLEA team in Kaduna, a state in Nigeria, has been working hard to stop bad drugs from spreading. In the last few months, they caught 420 people and took away a lot of drugs that were not legal.

Mr. Samaila Danmalam, the big boss of the team, told everyone about this on Thursday. He said they have caught a lot of bad drugs and will keep trying to stop them. He asked people to help by giving any information that might help find more bad drug activities quickly.

From July to September, the team caught 420 people. Most of them were men, 404 to be exact, and 16 were women. These people were caught because they were selling drugs, using them, or helping to move them from one place to another.

The drugs they found include stuff like Cocaine, Cannabis, and other substances like Rohypnol, Tramadol, and Methamphetamine. Altogether, the weight of these drugs is 1,045.93 kilograms, which is like carrying 1,045 regular bags of sugar!

During their operations, they also found some dangerous things like bullets – 1,393 of them to be exact – and four homemade guns.

The team managed to get 30 people who were doing bad things with drugs in trouble with the law. They are also in the middle of investigating 54 more cases. This means they are looking into what these people did wrong to make sure they follow the law.
