Nasarawa: Police raid kidnappers' hideout, rescue kidnapped travelers

Police officers attached to Gitata Division in Karu Local Government Area of ​​Nasarawa State raided the hideout of the kidnappers and rescued at least three victims.

A statement by the Command spokesperson, DSP Ramhan Nansel, said the rescue followed information that a Volkswagen Sharon vehicle with three occupants traveling on the Kaduna-Keffi road was attacked and the victims were taken to an unknown destination.

The victims included Abdulsalam Shuaibu, Sani Shuaibu and Blessing Okorie.

The statement explained that upon receiving the information, the divisional police officer of the area, SP Zaks Wambai, quickly mobilized his men to the spot and combed the surroundings.

“Consequently, the kidnappers' hideout was destroyed and they were evicted, paving the way for the rescue of the unharmed victims.

“The Commissioner of Police, CP, Shetima Jauro Mohammed, in a comment, commended the officers for a job well done and urged them to continue the attack on criminals,” the statement said.
