The police in Nasarawa State have caught a man who was part of a group of kidnappers. They found 547,000 Naira with him.
Ramhan Nansel, who talks to the news for the Nasarawa State Police, told everyone about this on Sunday.
Nansel said that this money was part of what the kidnapper got when they took a person named Cironman Fulani from Arugbadu village in Nasarawa Eggon area.
“On October 27, 2024, around 11:30 in the morning, police officers from Akwanga and Nasarawa Eggon worked together and arrested a man named Abdulkarim Zakari. He is from Konba village in Wamba area of Nasarawa State. They arrested him because he was linked to a kidnapping case they were looking into.
“When the police talked to him, he said he was part of the group that took Ciroman Fulani from Arugbadu. They got a big amount of money – five million Naira – as ransom, and Abdulkarim got 1.2 million Naira as his share,” Nansel explained.
The boss of the police, Commissioner Umar Shehu Nadada, has told the police to find and catch the other people in the kidnapping group who ran away.
