Nasarawa: Motorcycle Theft Suspects Escape from Custody After Arrest

Must Read

Two people caught stealing a motorcycle at Lavista, a popular restaurant in Lafia, have run away from the Nasarawa Youth Empowerment Agency (NAYEA).

NAYEA workers arrested the two at different places in Lafia after they took the motorcycle. They got the motorcycle back.

Sources say the two managed to escape just an hour after NAYEA told the police about the arrest and said they would hand over the suspects for further investigation.

At the time, the two people were handcuffed at NAYEA’s place.

A high-ranking NAYEA official confirmed the escape and said a few workers are now in trouble because they might have helped the suspects run away.

He promised that the team, led by Abdullahi Bala Likita, would do everything possible to catch the suspects again and make sure they face the law.
