On Wednesday morning, a person on a motorcycle was sadly hit and killed by a vehicle that didn’t stop at a place called Limca bus stop on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.
The leader of the road safety team in Badagry, Mr. William Manga, shared this information with a group called the News Agency of Nigeria, also known as NAN. He explained that this accident happened at 9:23 in the morning.
He mentioned that they got a report about this accident at 9:27 am, but his team got there at 11:32 am.
Mr. Manga said, “This accident happened at the Limca bus stop part of the Badagry Expressway and involved a big truck called Sino Truck and a motorcycle driven by an Ajue Lady.
“Our team, upon receiving a call from another service group, rushed from where they were at Mowo to the accident spot.
“Sadly, the person hurt in the accident had serious injuries on the head and passed away before our team could arrive. We have taken the body to the hospital in Badagry.
“There was another person involved, and they were taken by the emergency team to a special care unit at Badagry Roundabout,” he added.
He noted that nothing was taken or saved from the people who were in the accident.
Mr. Manga kindly asked people walking on the streets to be extra careful when crossing big roads.
He also reminded those driving cars and trucks to watch their speed and always follow the rules of the road.
