Popular Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi, has left Nigeria after he was almost killed.
Yomi shared this news after he didn’t show up at the court for late singer Mohbad’s case and didn’t lead a planned protest to the Lagos State Assembly on Monday, September 30, 2024.
Reports from DAILY POST said Yomi had planned a protest for September 30, which was the same day the coroner was looking into Mohbad’s death again.
Explaining why he couldn’t be there, Yomi said someone tried to kill him just two days ago.
In a video on his Instagram page, Yomi, who is now hiding, talked about a plan to end his life because of his involvement in Mohbad’s case.
“I almost got killed two days ago and they still want to kill me tonight. If they had succeeded, I would be buried tomorrow.
“They want to end my life just because I’m seeking justice. I didn’t take money from anyone. I am doing this out of my faith. I have to save my life. I quickly left Nigeria and now I don’t even know where I’m going,” he said.
