Many are fed up with Nigeria – Rema

Must Read

Afrobeats Sensation Rema has opened about the numerous challenges that Nigeria faces, revealing that many have lost hope in the country.

Despite this, the music star remains optimistic, expressing its commitment to contribute to the development of Nigeria.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Rema shared his thoughts about the Nigerian state.

“Many people give up in Nigeria. Many people are angry with Nigeria. But I have hope. There are not many people who would have as many profits like this, with so much culture.

“It makes me look cursed. It makes me see that I talk too much, or I worry too much, or I'm trying to be a Messiah. I don't want to do much. I just want to do what I need to do.”

The Crooner of Calm also shared his experience in the 2025 Grammys, where he lost the award for the best global music album.

“I was celebrating people walking on that scenario. They crossed my fingers that I would also go up the stage, and when it didn't happen … it happens. It is not the first prize for which I was named and I did not get,” he added.
