On Friday, the police in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) said that Yushau Shuaibu, who was arrested on July 8 for trying to hurt himself, has now been set free.
Let’s remember what happened on July 8: Yushau tried to end his life by climbing a tall radio tower at Aso radio in Katampe, Abuja.
He did this because he wanted to get the federal government to notice the hard times that people in the country are facing.
After that, he was taken to a special place for mental health check-ups to see how he was feeling and thinking.
The police said they noticed that Yushau was very worried, scared, and anxious when they talked to him.
However, on Thursday, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said that Yushau had been let go.
His lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, helped get him out on bail.
