Mr. Monday was just one of 12 people the police took into custody for different bad things. These things include hurting others, stealing, and setting fires.

The big boss of the police, Mr. Abayomi Oladipo, showed these people to news reporters at the police office in Akure, which is the main city of Ondo State.

While talking to the reporters, Mr. Abayomi said they found out that Kefa, who was 30 years old, had given Mr. Monday a small loan of 2,000 Naira. When Kefa asked for the money back, they got into a big fight. During this fight, Mr. Monday used scissors to hurt Kefa on the neck, and Kefa sadly died because of the injury.

One of the 12 people caught by the police is a 16-year-old student named Precious Kolawole. People say Precious was involved in hurting a woman everyone knew in Akure, Mrs. Adeniyi Iyabode, at her home on Oda Road.

Mr. Abayomi, the police boss, said they first caught someone who was with Precious. This person is 17 years old and named Philip Emmanuel. Philip told the police his story about what happened that sad day.

“Precious heard that Mrs. Adeniyi was going to get a lot of money through her bank. She got an idea and asked her friend, Philip, if he would help her do something terrible,” said Mr. Abayomi.

He explained that when the police checked what happened, they found out the two used knives and machetes, which caused the very sad event.
