Man Arrested for Selling Land Using Forged Documents in Osun

Must Read

A man named Lasisi Ismail, who is 42 years old, got arrested for selling a piece of land that wasn’t his in Ede, Osun State.

Lasisi sold this land to a woman, Mrs. Afolabi, for N800,000 using fake papers. The Osun Amotekun Corps, a security group, caught him. They found out about this because someone reported it to them.

The head of the Osun Amotekun Corps, CSP Isaac Omoyele, said they arrested Lasisi on Sunday. Someone had told them Lasisi sold the land and then ran away to hide.

Omoyele explained that his team quickly went to work and found Lasisi hiding. Lasisi had shown a fake receipt, pretending he bought the land from the Mogaji family. But the Mogaji family had real proof showing Lasisi was lying.

Omoyele advised people in Osun to be very careful when buying land to avoid getting tricked.

Lasisi has now been handed over to the Police for more questions and legal actions.
