Soldiers from the Forward Operations Base in Potiskum, Yobe State, have caught a 40-year-old man trying to take farm machines out of the state. He wanted to sell them in another place.

The Governor’s Special Adviser on Security, Brigadier General Dahiru Abdulsalm (retired), shared this news on Sunday.

The man, named Mallam Auwal Sule, had 11 seed planters. He said he bought them from people in the Yobe State Government’s Agric Empowerment program. He paid 40,000 Naira for each one at a shop in Babban Kasuwa, Potiskum.

Mallam Auwal Sule said he planned to take these seed planters to Kano to sell them.

“The man and the seed planters are now with the NSCDC for more action,” said Brigadier General Dahiru Abdulsalm.

Remember, during the launch of the Yobe State Mega Agricultural Empowerment Programme, Governor Mai Mala Buni warned everyone not to mess with the government’s efforts to improve farming.

He said, “The government will not ignore any acts that try to ruin our plans for making farming better, profitable, and strong. We want to make sure there’s enough food for everyone in the state.”

He also added, “Any person or group who tries to stop our plans will face serious consequences. I order the security teams to catch any tractors or machines leaving the state and make sure those responsible are punished.”
