Nantes’ coach, Antoine Kombouaré, has talked about why Moses Simon is so important to his team.
On Sunday, Simon scored his first goal of the season, helping Nantes win 2-0 against Auxerre.
Simon, who is 28 years old, made a great shot from inside the box in the 18th minute of the game.
Coach Kombouaré said Simon is a key player for Nantes.
“When Simon is on the field, he gives strength and energy to his teammates,” Kombouaré told tribunenantaise.fr.
“He speaks up, even though he is small. He has a lot of courage and doesn’t let others push him around.”
Although Kombouaré praised Simon, he also wants him to do even better this season.
“The team is different with and without Simon, but he needs to prove himself again this season. He was great in the past, made himself very important, but now it’s time to start fresh,” Kombouaré added.
