Hajiya Hajara Mohammed, the head of the Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KSIECOM), shared some important news. She said that 76 people from 10 political parties want to be leaders in the local government. They were checked to make sure they can run in the upcoming election.
She told everyone this information after the checking was done. She said, “We have checked 76 people from 10 of the 19 political parties in Nigeria.”
Hajiya Hajara also said that on September 20, 2024, they will show the names of who passed and who did not. Also, the rules for the election will be given to the political parties.
She assured everyone that the election will happen on October 19, 2024, as planned. She asked all the people running for office and the political parties to follow the rules and stay calm. She didn’t want any problems before, during, or after the voting day.
Hajiya Hajara also told the voters to come out in large numbers on the election day and choose their leader.
Earlier, Mr. Daniel Paul, who wants to be the leader from the Labour Party in Kagarko LGA, said he was happy with how the checking was done. He asked the Commission to continue being fair from the start to the end, even when announcing the results.
