LG Election: Labour Party Wins Majority of Votes Despite No Candidate in Bauchi

The Labour Party in Bauchi State got the most votes in the Bogoro councillorship election in Lusa B Ward of Bogoro Local Government Area, even though they did not have a candidate.

Because of this, the Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission, BSIEC, said that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate Lucy Ahmadu Yusuf, who was in second place, is the winner and the new councillor for Lusa B Ward.

When announcing the results at the collation center in Bogoro, the returning officer, Daniel Gambo, said that the Labour Party got 2,200 votes without having a candidate. PDP’s Lucy Ahmadu Yusuf was close behind with 2,168 votes.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Mbam Masoyi, got 275 votes and came in third place.
