The University of Ilorin has some sad news. They confirmed that one person died in an accident that happened on their campus last Thursday.
A bus carrying ten people had an accident while leaving the campus.
Mr. Kunle Akogun, the university’s Director of Corporate Affairs, said: “Right after the accident happened, the University Management started helping the people. They took all the people in the bus to the University Health Centre. The doctors and nurses treated them there.”
“One person needed special care, so they sent him to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital after making sure he was stable.”
“Four people had small injuries. They were treated and sent home.”
“Five people, including two men, two women, and the driver, are still getting treated at the University Health Centre.”
“Sadly, one person was already dead when they brought him in. His body is now at the morgue, and the university is trying to contact his family.”
The university is very sorry about this sad event. They send their condolences to the family of the person who died and hope that the injured people get better soon.”
