Kogi: PDP Seeks Suspension of Dino Melaye, Labels Senator a ‘Liability’

Kogi PDP Criticizes Senator Dino Melaye

In Kogi State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says Senator Dino Melaye is causing problems for them.

PDP leaders, led by Ibrahim Dansofo, asked local party leaders in Ijumu to think about suspending Melaye. They believe this will help make the party strong again with good leaders.

On Saturday, Melaye said the acting national chairman of PDP, Iliya Damagum, Samuel Anyanwu, and Umar Bature have messed up the party.

Melaye believes that these three leaders have ruined the party for good.

But the PDP elders disagree. They said Melaye’s political dreams are so bad now that he can’t even win a small election for a local council position.

The elders led by Dansofo said that Melaye is causing more harm than good. They think he is staying in the party just to help himself, not the party.

“Senator Melaye has become a problem for the party,” Dansofo said.

“He complains about the current leaders but he was given a chance to run for governor even though the party knew he couldn’t win,” Dansofo added.

The Kogi PDP blames Melaye for their current issues. They think picking him was a big mistake that led to their problems today.

They also asked former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to reconsider their support for Melaye. They called Melaye a “burden” and a “big problem” for the party.

They told Nigerians not to take Melaye’s words seriously, saying he is desperate and no longer important in politics.

“The Kogi PDP wants to move forward, get stronger, and rebuild its good name. They asked Melaye to explain the billions he spent when he ran for governor,” they added.
