Kidnapped Police Rescue Victim, recover stolen vehicle in Edo

The agents of the EDO State Police command have rescued an Okugbowa Osazee from alleged kidnappers.
Moses Yamu, the command spokesman, revealed this in a statement on Sunday, stating that the victim was rescued by agents of the Oologbo division, area of ​​the local government of IKpoba-Okha, on Friday, February 8, 2025, approximately at approximately the 5 in the afternoon.

Yamu said the victim was kidnapped on February 7, 2025 by five armed men of his residence in the presence of his family in the area of ​​the electric line of the Owanoba community.

He said that since then the victim had met with his family after receiving medical care.

He, however, added that the command is on the path of suspects in an attempt to arrest them.

Meanwhile, Yamu revealed that the command has recovered a silver toyota yaris with the 535 DR record, which was taken from its owner to the tip of the gun to the extension of the highway of the upper mission in Benin City.

He said the car was recovered by agents of the Okuaihe division in the area of ​​the local government of Uhunmwonde, after a call of anguish received on February 6, 2025.

He added that the agents intercepted and persecuted the arguments of automobiles, who left the vehicle in the Iguomon community along the Benin-Agbor road.

Yamu said the car has been delivered to its owner while the efforts are ongoing to identify and arrest the suspects.
