Kenneth Okonkwo Leaves Labour Party, Claims Peter Obi Unfit to Lead Nigeria in 2027

Must Read

Keneth Okonkwo Leaves Labour Party

Keneth Okonkwo, the spokesperson for the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential campaign, has announced he is leaving the party.

Okonkwo said he is leaving because of the problems in the party and he thinks the presidential candidate, Peter Obi, did not handle things well.

He also criticized the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC), saying both parties are making Nigeria’s economy worse.

In a letter he wrote on Sunday, Okonkwo said that the APC has given people no other choice but to protest because they see no hope for the future.

Okonkwo believes that only a strong political party with strong support from the people can take power back from the current leaders, whom he called corrupt and incompetent.

Okonkwo emphasized the need for a brave and selfless leader who can secure victory and ensure fair elections, as current leaders are not willing to conduct free and fair elections.

He accused the judiciary of being corrupt, saying they steal electoral victories in broad daylight.

He is looking for a leader with integrity and charisma who can mobilize the people and sustain the victory if they win. He said now is not the time to sit back and be calm.

Okonkwo claimed the 2023 election was stolen, and that the judiciary will not bring democracy to Nigeria. He urged the people to take control of their own future.

He said that the current situation where Nigerians are suffering from leaders they didn’t vote for cannot continue until 2027. A strong and decisive leader is needed to stop this with the people’s votes.

Okonkwo had high hopes for the Labour Party after the 2023 general election but became disillusioned. He believed Peter Obi would build a solid party, but was disappointed when Obi said he didn’t promise to build a strong Labour Party, only to solve Nigeria’s problems.

He continued to support Obi, hoping he would fix the party’s problems, but it didn’t happen. He was surprised when Obi didn’t distance himself from the former leaders of the party, whose time had expired.

Okonkwo and other members are now confused about the future of the Labour Party due to Obi’s lack of leadership. They don’t know where Obi stands on important issues and Okonkwo admits he can’t continue to speak for a leader he doesn’t understand.

Okonkwo is also disappointed that Obi did not support the Labour Unions, who founded the party to fight for workers’ rights. He believes that a simple statement from Obi could have solved many problems, but it never came.

He fully supports the Labour Unions and other stakeholders who are now fighting for the party without Obi’s help.

Because of these issues, Okonkwo no longer believes that Obi can build a strong party or secure a victory even if people vote for him.

For these reasons, Okonkwo has decided to continue his political journey without Peter Obi.
