Kenneth Okonkwo Affirms His Continued Full-Fledged Membership in the Labour Party

Must Read

Sure, let’s make this simple and easy to understand for everyone.

Veteran Nollywood actor and politician Kenneth Okonkwo has denied rumors that he left the Labour Party.

Okonkwo said he is still a proud member of the party.

He explained this on Tuesday while talking on Arise Television’s Prime Time show.

He said, “First of all, I am surprised by your comment. This is the first time I am hearing from your TV station that I left the Labour Party. I even made a statement to avoid any confusion. So, where did you get that info? It’s not from me. I am still a proud member of the Labour Party,” he confirmed.

When asked if he’s still with the Labour Party, he answered confidently, “Yes, absolutely.”

Okonkwo added, “There’s no problem with me and the Labour Party. The problem is within the party leadership because they did not hold a proper convention. I think the leader should have made sure that an all-inclusive convention was held, as per the court’s decision and past agreement.”

Previously, Okonkwo had said he would stop supporting Mr. Peter Obi, the presidential candidate, and the party. He had concerns about Obi’s way of leading and addressing national issues.

He also doubted Obi’s ability to win elections and deal with corrupt politicians effectively.

The veteran actor wants a leader who is strong, brave, honest, and works well with others to achieve his goals for Nigeria.

There you go! The information is the same, but it’s much easier to read and understand.
