The Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA), located in Katsina State, has shared some sad news. Their Registrar, Prof. Iliyasu Falalu-Rafindadi, has passed away after being sick for a long time.
Mr. Habib Umar-Aminu, who speaks for the university, said this in a statement in Katsina. He mentioned that Prof. Falalu-Rafindadi died early on Tuesday morning at the age of 60.
Mr. Umar-Aminu added that Prof. Falalu-Rafindadi was very experienced and held many important roles at the university.
“Prof. Falalu-Rafindadi was born on June 10, 1964, in Katsina, Katsina State. He started working at FUDMA on December 30, 2011, and worked his way up to become the Registrar on June 1, 2021.
During his time at the university, he also served as the Academic Secretary and Establishment Secretary before becoming the Registrar.”
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Armaya’u Bichi, representing the university’s management, staff, and students, sent condolences to the family and everyone at the university.
He said that Prof. Falalu-Rafindadi’s death is a big loss for the university community. “Prof. Falalu-Rafindadi was a dedicated and hardworking person who helped the university grow and develop a lot. The university community will miss him dearly.”
Prof. Bichi also prayed for Prof. Falalu-Rafindadi’s soul and asked God to give his family the strength to handle this huge loss. He prayed that Allah grants him eternal rest in Aljannat Firdaus.
The FUDMA spokesman, Mr. Umar-Aminu, said that Prof. Falalu-Rafindadi has already been buried at the Dan Marina Cemetery. The funeral prayer was held at his home in the Rafindadi community in Katsina town.
