The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is having some problems in Katsina State. On Friday, a new group in the party started.
This new group is led by Senator Yakubu Lado. They chose a new leader, Alhaji Nura Amadi Kurfi, and some other officials.
They did this at the PDP office in Katsina.
Kurfi thanked the big leaders of the PDP and Senator Lado for helping the party win in the 2023 elections in Katsina State.
Kurfi talked about the main things they want to work on. They want everyone to get along, follow the rules, have fair choices, and make sure everyone has a fair chance in the 2027 elections.
Before this, another group led by Mustapha Inuwa went to court because they said their members were left out of the meetings.
Senator Lado’s group had meetings from the smallest areas to the whole state.
