The Kano State Police Command successfully arrested suspected kidnapper Abubakar Musa, 25, and rescued a two-year-old boy, Al'amin Ahmad Gabar.
This operation has been important in the fight against crime in the state.

The suspect was arrested on December 25, 2024 MORPH. Police believe the boy was held for three days in a house in the Unguwar Liman Dorayi neighborhood of Kano.
The boy was taken to Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital, where he was treated and discharged while being reunited with his family.
On January 3, 2025, Abubakar Musa was charged in the 25th nominal trial court and is remanded for subject matter jurisdiction.
The Commissioner of Police, Salman Dogo Garba, has reiterated his command’s commitment to ensuring that all residents of Kano are protected.
