Kaduna LP Elections: PDP Leader Sarki Expresses No Confidence in SIECOM Chairperson

Must Read

Sure, I can rewrite that for you. Here’s the revised version:

Mr. Danjuma Bello Sarki, who wants to be the chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State, has said he doesn’t trust the State Independent Electoral Commission (SIECOM) or Governor Uba Sani to hold fair local elections.

He spoke to reporters in Kaduna on Sunday after a meeting with PDP members about the upcoming chairmanship election. Mr. Sarki said, “The person in charge of SIECOM isn’t the right choice.

“She’s only at level 13. How can she be the state’s chairperson when there are others who are more qualified?”

“There are senior officers in the commission who have more experience and can do a better job to make sure the council elections are fair,” he explained.

“Because she got the job, four commissioners in the SIECOM office in Kaduna quit,” he added.

Mr. Sarki also said that not using electronic voting is a way to cheat in the elections.

He pointed out, “I don’t trust the new SIECOM leadership or Governor Sani to run fair elections. But we won’t sit back and let the government cheat in the local elections.”

“If I become the party chairman in the state, I will close every gap and make sure our party wins the upcoming council elections,” he promised.
