The Security Agents of the Joint Task Force (JTF) in the state of Zamfara have successfully frustrated a rescue and neutral payment operation to a group of bandits in the Ganuwa forest, local government area.
The operation, which took place on Wednesday, was revealed in a position on the official Mango X Zagazola Makama Security Analyst.
According to the post, JTF agents acted in intelligence on an attempt to deliver rescue money for the release of a kidnapped victim.
“According to the reports, the bandits left their hiding place to collect the rescue, but they ran into the security staff he expects,” the post said.
“When observing the agents, the criminals opened fire, which led to a fierce shooting battle.”
The post also revealed that JTF operations remained strategically firm, allowing assailants to exhaust their ammunition before involving and neutralizing them.
Two motorcycles and weapons belonging to the bandits of the scene were recovered.
It was also confirmed that the kidnapped victim was rescued safely and since then he has met with his family in good health.
