    Job Description

      • UNICEF needs an ICT assistant to help their team for a short time.
      • The ICT Assistant will help Abuja UNICEF staff with their computer problems.
      • This person will solve or report issues about IT applications quickly.
      • They will also write reports, help with new technology, and guide users.

    Main Goals

      • Help users quickly and effectively by receiving, processing, and logging their service requests.
      • Support in implementing IT projects.
      • Keep Help Desk documents and procedures updated.
      • Assist in meetings with ICT and audiovisual equipment when needed.

    Main Responsibilities

      • Provide ongoing user support by answering help desk calls quickly.
      • Answer incoming calls and log them in the system. Try to solve them immediately.
      • Direct service calls to the right people or experts as needed.
      • Set up hardware and software according to UNICEF standards and help with meetings.
      • Help set up computers, printers, scanners, and other devices.
      • Install software like UNICEF Windows OS and other programs.
      • Support ICT projects and help with the implementation of new IT initiatives.
      • Report problems to the right experts and document the solutions.

    Education and Skills Needed:

      • High school education with formal training in computers. Must know how to use standard office software and tools.

    Work Experience:

      • At least five years of work experience in IT. Should know how to solve problems and help users with IT products and services.
      • Experience with different computer systems, Microsoft Office, and Help Desk software.
      • Experience in helping remote field offices in developing countries is a plus.
