Invasion of the National Secretariat PDP for despicable thugs – Olabode George

Must Read

The former president of the Popular Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olabode George, has condemned the invasion last Wednesday to the National Secretariat of the Party in Abuja, describing the situation as despicable, horrible, inhuman, evil and unauded.

The head of PDP gave this stand on Friday at a press conference that took place in his Ikoyi office in Ikoyi, Lagos, saying that he was disturbed on development as a life member of the Board of Trustees (Bot) of the main party of the main party of the main party of the opposition.

According to him, the people who orchestrated the use of thugs to invade the Secretariat of the party acted blatantly, saying that the action must be condemned by all who valued democracy.

Chief George, while the law further condemns, said that, as a dedicated vital member of the bot that represents the upper chamber and embodies the moral compass of the party, he felt obliged to sound the alarm in an issue that requires urgent attention.

“What happened on Wednesday during the 79th meeting of this body of August in Abuja is despicable, horrible, inhuman, evil and unknown.

“This situation arises from the actions of certain unfair people within our party. I firmly believe that this should also be seen as a serious crime that should not be tolerated.

“What happened on Wednesday was horrendous, terrible and terrible. We are all aware that the National Secretariat of our party in Abuja is sacred. The premises must be respected by all members and not members, ”he said.

The head of PDP said that he had constantly demanded that those with a belligerent attitude, and that they were not ready to repent, should be shown the exit, warning that the main opposition platform with rules and regulations that governoring should not become a ” “Agbero” party of any member with excessive ambition.

This was just as he pointed out that the party and its members were found in this current situation due to a self -inflicted crisis and, therefore, the need for people to bury their ambition now and do not allow PDP to crumble.

“Like the largest party in Africa, PDP should not become a 'agbero' match for any member with excessive ambition. We have rules and regulations that govern our party, ”he warned.

“If we are serious as part, this is the time that the leadership of the party brought together the two opposite factions for a peace meeting. If they are not ready to embrace peace, they must take aside and allow the party to overcome the current agitation.

“We should bury our individual ambition now and not allow the PDP to collapse. The elders of the party should tell those funny characters to calm down.

“It is discouraging that the PDP, the bastion of courtesy, humility, decorum, harmony and respect for the rule of law since 1998, when it was formed by our elders such as Chief Solomon Lar, Dr. Alex Ekwueme, Chief Bola IgE (who wrote the constitution of the party), Alhaji Adamu Ciroma, chief on Sunday Awoniyi, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, Chief Domingo Afolabi and others, which did not allow personal interests to eclipse their collective interests of the party, now they are dancing in the tombs of some of these elders.

“As leaders, we must not allow anyone to destroy our party because PDP is the only true national party. The APC is just a mere congregation of strange bedmates. This is the time to show the members who work against our party the departure. There is no feeling at all.

“It is sacrilegious that thugs were hired to enter the facilities to unleash chaos, interrupting the 79th meeting of the Trustee Board (Bot). If that could happen, what do you think those who will sponsor the thugs, during the meetings of the National Labor Committee (NWC) and the National Executive Committee (NEC) will sponsor? George said.

Speaking about the policy of President Donald Trump, Chief George said that, of all indications, it seemed that the president of the United States wanted to isolate the country from the rest of the world.

“In 2025, Trump is determined to expand its influence, turning the United States into an isolationist country. What exactly is Trump's agenda? I think this is the question that world leaders should ask. Are you trying to create a crisis that destroys the world? Do you want to destroy the world so that the remaining can move to another planet? Is your agenda not going to be counterproductive?

“Russia, China and Europe will observe Trump the way Neville Chamberlain did nothing until Hitler became uncontrollable?” Chief George asked.
