Must Read

Movie star Ini Edo broke the internet on Sunday morning when she posted what appeared to be a wedding announcement.

Ini married US-based Nigerian businessman Philip Ehiagwina on 29 November 2008 in the US and divorced in 2014.

In the interesting Instagram post on Sunday, the 42-year-old film star sported the traditional Efik wedding attire. The caption of the post suggested that her wedding was approaching and that she had gotten engaged three months earlier.

Her message urged people not to give up on their quest for happiness and pointed out that love would find them: “On that bright Sunday morning six months ago, while we were on vacation, we crossed paths and our lives were never the same. Exactly three months later, you asked me to be with you forever. How did I get so lucky? They say, ‘Your flaws are perfect for the heart meant to love you. ’ I believe that now with all my heart. One of three I did.”

“My fairytale wedding is almost here. To all those who have given up on their happily ever after, Kove will find them, and when they do, whether they are ready or not, it will be the best thing that ever happened to them.”

Congratulatory messages flooded in for the actress' fans, and they were in for a surprise. What seemed like a joyous occasion turned out to be a cleverly orchestrated publicity stunt for a new four-part limited series, Africa Magic.

My fairytale wedding

During Sunday’s BBNaija live eviction show, Biggie and the show’s host Ebuka once again fooled fans. A bride appeared on stage sobbing, further confusing viewers. However, within minutes, Ebuka referenced Ini’s Instagram post and revealed that the crying bride was part of a publicity stunt for My Fairytale Wedding, a new four-part limited series starring Ini.
