A known bandit leader, Kachalla Tukur Sharme, has been killed in a fight with another group in the forest.

Sharme and some of his group members were killed.

Samuel Aruwan, the leader of Internal Security and Home Affairs in Kaduna State, shared this news on Monday.

Aruwan said they learned this from careful operations and information from people in the area.

He said Sharme and the bandits were killed in a fight with another group. Two members of the rival group also died in this fierce gunfight.

Aruwan also said that because of this fight, some kidnapped people managed to escape.

“Sharme, a well-known bad guy who hurt many people, kidnapped hundreds, and stole many cattle, died in a battle with another gang.

“The fight happened over the weekend in a place called ‘Hambakko’ in the Rijana and Kaso Forests, covering Kachia and parts of Chikun and Kajuru local government areas,” he explained.

Aruwan added that five bandits were hurt in the fight. These injured bandits are hiding in the area, looking for help for their injuries.
