Imo Labour Party Leadership: Anaeme Cautions Against Factional Splits

Must Read

In Imo State, a leader from the Labour Party, Hon. Stephen Aneme, wants everyone in the party to work with the new leader, Senator Esther Nenadi Usman. He believes this will help the party grow and be peaceful.

Stephen Aneme is upset with two people, Julius Abure and Callistus Ihejiagwa, because they are not listening to the new leaders. He thinks that if they join and support the new team, it will be good for the Labour Party.

He is worried because he sees people in the party doing things that might hurt the party. He thinks that if people keep quiet, the party might not do well, especially in Imo State. He said they should stop fighting and work together.

In a newspaper article on September 13, 2024, he said he supports the new leader, Senator Esther Nenadi Usman. He thinks that this change will help stop the fights about who is in charge.

Stephen Aneme is unhappy with people who are trying to make another group inside the party. He wants everyone to be one big team and stop making new groups in both the country and the state.

He asks the people who follow Abure and Apapa to stop fighting and to work with Senator Usman and the new team. Other members like Mrs. Maria Lebeke and Comrade Abdulwahed Omars have already joined, and he wants others to do the same.

Aneme says, “If we fight inside the party, it will fall apart.” He thinks the party must not go through bad times like before. He wants everyone to be united because together they can reach their goals better.

The Labour Party is not just for a few people; it’s a party for everyone in Nigeria who believes it’s fair to pay workers what they deserve. It’s not like some other parties that don’t do this.

Aneme tells the new leaders not to let the party have the problems it had before, which made the party lose many things. He wants them to remember the slogan: “Labour Party: Forward Ever, Backwards Never,” so the party can keep moving ahead.
