The state vice governor of Edo, Dennis Idahosa, has said that excessive voting statements in the election of the governor of September 21, 2024 by the Democratic Party of the Peoples (PDP), would not retain water before the court of the request of elections of the Government Edo in Abuja, the territory of the Federal Capital (FCT).

He pointed out that the APC witness confirmed in the Court that the canceled results were not calculated. “Why would the PDP challenge the results that do not exist? It shows that they do not understand the process, ”Idahosa reiterated.
According to him, the electoral law of 2020 (according to amended) clearly establishes that the survival leads to the automatic cancellation of results, eliminating the need for more disputes.
“The responsibility is in PDP to prove their case, but their witnesses have contradicted themselves in court. It is possible that our legal team does not even need to call any witnesses, ”he boasted.
In addition, he expressed his dismay that the PDP was treating the court as a media campaign, instead of focusing on legal facts.
Idahosa, who argued that the PDP case lacked merit, expressed confidence in the Judiciary to defend the law.
