Nigerian content creator Mark Angel shared how difficult 2024 was for him and revealed that he lost $3.7 million in forex trading. The loss left him in debt and struggling to cope with one of the most difficult times of his life.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, Mark explained how the financial loss caused his life to fall apart. Loan sharks seized his properties and the weight of his debts made him feel desperate.
While undergoing therapy to recover from the trauma, he revealed that he was dealt another blow: a scandal that rocked his career and forced him to reevaluate his relationships.

Mark described the experience as a painful but necessary process that revealed false friends and pretenders while bringing him closer to God.
He credited the ordeal with teaching him resilience, faith and the importance of divine grace.
Grateful for the unwavering support of his loved ones, Mark expressed his appreciation for his family, his pastor, his ex-wife, his daughters, and his social media manager, who supported him during difficult times.
“The year 2024 started like any other year, but I had no idea how much it would test me, how much it would break me, and, in the end, reshape me. It was the year I lost everything. I trusted the wrong hands in Forex and lost all my money.
“No one knew except my family and my closest circle. The weight of the loss, more than $3.7 million, was suffocating. I was drowning in debt and, one by one, I saw all my property fall into the hands of loan sharks. “I felt like my world was falling apart and in my darkest moments I thought about ending it all,” he wrote.
He continued: “But God… If it weren't for His mercies, I wouldn't be here writing this. He sent angels into my life when I needed them most.
“Blessing, my friend who became family, never gave up on me. My pastor and his wife were by my side, praying and guiding me. My daughters, Victoria and Mila, reminded me of the beauty of life, even when it seemed unbearable.
“My ex-wife Mandy extended a kind hand to me that I will never forget. My son, Schoolboy, showed me strength beyond his years. And Bright, my social media assistant, was a rock in the moments when I thought I would collapse.
“While I was still trying to heal, undergoing therapy to recover from the trauma, life dealt me another blow. A scandal occurred that shook the foundations of my career and questioned the loyalty of those around me. It was in that storm that God began to discover the truth.
“It exposed the false friends, the pretenders and those who had been silently sabotaging my peace and my circle. It was painful, but it was necessary.
“2024 was the most difficult year of my life, but it was also the year God brought me closer to Him. Through the ashes, He taught me resilience, faith, and the true meaning of grace.
“I don't take for granted that I'm alive today. To everyone who was with me, prayed for me and supported me when I had no strength left, thank you.
“For the unwavering faithfulness of God. If 2024 taught me anything, it is that even in the darkest valleys, His light never stops shining.”
